The sight of thee at Christmastide spreads hope and gladness far and wide. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree! Thou tree most fair and lovely." The German verse reads: "O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum! Wie treu sind deine blaetter! Dugruenst nicht nur zur sommerzeit, nein, auch im winter, wenn es schneit. O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum! Wie treu sind deine blaetter."

Stitch count - 101w x 246h, approximately 7 1/4" x 17 1/2" on 14ct. Model stitched on 28ct aged ecru Stoney Creek Dyed Fabric over 2 threads. Pearl Cotton #8 white, Gentle Arts Sampler Threads 120 Pine and 360 Cranberry, Glissen Gloss Rainbow Blending Thread 000 Bright White and 407 Brass, and Mill Hill Antique Seed Beads 03049 Rich Red are used in addition to standard embroidery floss. The design is embellished with 3 mini star charms and two small wreath buttons - see related products below.
